Okay, I have not been the best blogger in the past. I have begun blogs in the past only to eventually throw up my hands up in despair, claiming someone/something will rue the day. But, I have learned my lesson!!!! Actually several lessons.
This is not going to be one of those blogs where the writer only posts one blog (if you're into that kind of blog see karenscrazygoonieadvbenture@blogspot.com). It's not going to be a whimsical blog that uses un pc terms, tells witty stories, and offers promotional events for its followers (If that blog sounds aaammmaazzing, and believe me it was ammmmmmazzziinng see dkscrazyebayadventure@blogspot.com, note adventure spelled correctly this time around) Lastly, it will not be some 27 year old's whiny rantings and outrageous claims of winning the Boston marathon (no stupid blog like that exists so, please do not go searching for one like that, it would be embarrasing to search for crap like that on the internet and you have more productive things to read and do!)
So what kind of blog is this?
It is a blog that will detail how three individuals began a game empire.
How three individuals took a dream and made it a reality (yes, I agree, very inspirational, if you like that, I assure you there will be more).
This blog will have several goals:
1. It will describe in detail how an idea, a fleeting, passing idea was planted and perhaps grew into something tangible, it will perhaps become a roadmap for aspiring game developers.
2. It will generate buzz and gain feedback about what people are interested in so we can tailor our future games to what people are lacking. Too many people have a humdrum existence, they live without passion and excitement. Playcadia's mission is to end the monotony and bring play back into the lives of adults.
3. It will bring smiles, laughter, joy, and perhaps gift certificates to a pretty alright ebay store.
Please make note that the blog's goals may change as time passes. I will not limit this blog, myself or my readers, that is my promise to me and you (by you, I mean you Tonya and Dad!).
Now that I think of it, I kind of lied in my opening paragraph. It turns out, I may not have learned any lessons from previous blog attempts, because there will be witty stories. The blog may even be somewhat whimsical.
Okay, so if you choose to follow this blog, what do you have in store for you? I have not developed the content yet but as chapter titles are delightful to write, I can fill you in on upcoming blog titles:
Otters are freaking adorable: An indepth look at design and picking a logo
It is not all fun and games in the gaming app developing business
Sometimes it is difficult to move your arms while walking
Bee shields, orangatan arms, whoa, whoa, whoa!!!!
And that's when I learned if you have an idea for an adult playground you better have some blueprints or someone else will. A tale of action.
Playcadia, Playlantis, Kramerica???
And that's when I learned if you are going to make a fortune, you might want to have a better plan than a metal detector and enthusiasm: Setting realisting goals.
Where the heck is our Daryl?
